May 2025, Shanghai — Shanghai Xinyiheng Metal Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xinyiheng") recently signed a formal long-term supply agreement with Ghani Construction Ltd., a renowned construction group based in Nigeria, Africa. Under the terms of the agreement, Xinyiheng will supply the client with approximately 11,000 tons of hot-rolled steel coils, square and rectangular tubes, and deformed steel bars over the next 10 months, with a total contract value exceeding US$3.5 million.

This represents the largest single order Xinyiheng has secured in the West African market since its inception, marking a significant breakthrough in the company's business expansion efforts within the African continent.

Ghani Construction Ltd. is a leading industrial and commercial real estate contractor in Lagos State, Nigeria. Currently undertaking multiple municipal road and industrial park projects, the company maintains rigorous standards regarding steel material grades, dimensional tolerances, and delivery schedules. To secure this contract, Xinyiheng’s international trade team engaged in five months of extensive technical consultations and sample verification with the client. Ultimately, the company distinguished itself from numerous international competitors through its robust supply chain capabilities, flexible pricing strategies, and professional international trade services.

The products included in this order primarily consist of:

 Hot-rolled steel coils (Q235B / ASTM A36 equivalent), ranging in thickness from 2.0mm to 6.0mm, intended for cold-forming applications and roofing systems;

 Square and rectangular tubes (ASTM A500 Gr.B), ranging in size from 20×20mm to 150×150mm, intended for structural support and guardrail systems;

 Deformed steel bars (BS 4449 B500B), ranging in diameter from 12mm to 25mm, intended for concrete structure reinforcement.

All products will be manufactured in strict compliance with British and American standards, accompanied by EN10204 3.1 material certificates and third-party SGS inspection reports. The initial shipment, comprising approximately 2,000 tons of cargo, was successfully loaded at the Port of Shanghai this week and is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Apapa, Nigeria, in mid-June. The Foreign Trade Director at Xinyiheng stated: "Africa serves as a pivotal market within the 'Belt and Road' Initiative, characterized by robust demand for infrastructure. Establishing a long-term partnership with a renowned Nigerian construction group stands as a strong testament to the high quality of our products and the caliber of our service capabilities. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our engagement in the African and Middle Eastern markets, striving to achieve a 50% year-on-year increase in export volume for the full year."

Currently, Xinyiheng is actively preparing to participate in the "West Africa Building Materials Exhibition," to be held in Lagos this August, with the aim of further expanding the company's brand influence within the African market.
